Thankfully, Phuket's west coast is riddled with places to try out this combination in many shapes and forms. From the all-white sophistication of Joe's Downstairs to the elevated viewpoint of Diavolo in Paresa, there's a lot to choose from. The only unbreakable condition is that you have to be on time.

Wassa Homemade Bar:-Wassa Homemade Bar is the ultimate sundowner spot in Patong Beach. Located off Hasip-Pee Road (the street parallel to and above Nanai Road), this open-air platform offers one of the most outstanding views of the whole bay of Patong on Phuket’s west coast. A drink at Wassa Bar has a taste of reward as the cement road to reach it is narrow and extremely steep (inexperienced motorbike drivers should specially be careful), making the access pretty challenging. Once there, the cool sea breeze, the serene atmosphere gently rocked by R&B tunes, and the extraordinary panorama give guests a wonderful Olympian feeling: being on and above earth at the same time. Bars above Kata Noi:-Some of the island’s most spectacular viewpoints are along the winding, hilly road from Kata Beach to Nai Harn village. This is where you’ll find the oddly-named Karon Viewpoint (it’s actually above Kata Noi Beach) that many people refer to as the ‘Saam-haad’ (Three-beach) viewpoint. Just above Kata Noi, a couple of minutes’ drive out of Kata you’ll come across three adjacent hillside bars/restaurants that enjoy pretty much the same views and are a lot more relaxing than the sometimes crowded Saam-haad location. Le Versace:-Le Versace Restaurant Lounge Bar is certainly a class act: settled on the hillside of Phra Baramee Road, it is the highest open-air restaurant in Patong Beach. It features an extremely stylish décor; and it serves a sophisticated French cuisine prepared with the freshest ingredients. The views out over the town and beach are spectacular and it’s definitely worth getting there for early evening, when the golden rays of the setting sun reflect and almost animate the golden theme running throughout this unusual three-storey restaurant. The most singular characteristic of Versace is that every single piece of décor, whether it be a gold-sprayed Champagne magnum, the splendiferous Middle-Eastern sofas, Turkish-like throw cushions, huge vases, cutlery, plates, tables, lighting – absolutely everything – comes from the House of Versace, right down to the golden lion on the roof.

360 Degrees Restaurant:-A room with a view may be what some require for a romantic interlude but for others there's no beating a super-chic restaurant and a mind-blowing view. This is exactly what 360 Degrees restaurant near Layan Beach delivers, with its hilltop vista of Phuket's lush greenery along with a generous swathe of the Andaman Sea. The restaurant is a winner in the looks department alone and its lofty location and views are wonderful extras.This two-level, deck-floored restaurant's elegant upper floor is where the kitchen, bar and washrooms are located. The under-lit white-topped bar is set off by its black slatted stools and a giant, white sail cover is fitted over it all. Two huge ornate jars behind the bar contain vivid-red bird of paradise flowers. On the lower level there are straightforward al fresco table-and-chair arrangements as well as sofa dining options with low, clear-top cube tables and smart white cushions. All of this, with the lights of Phuket blinking down below in a spectacular backdrop, makes for a pretty impressive dining location. Mention should also be made of the clever wick-burning lamps that enhance the intimate atmosphere.

Joe's Downstairs:-Joe’s Downstairs is one of Phuket’s most prominent restaurants. Enjoying a stunning location on the granite cape that separates Patong from Kalim beach, it overlooks the Andaman Sea and offers a splendid sundowner spot, perfect for sipping a skilfully mixed cocktail in good company. Joe’s Downstairs kitchen is run by the talented American-born Chef Aaron Hooper, who creatively blends flavours from all around the world in his dishes. With its remarkable location, sophisticated setting, and delectable cuisine, Joe’s Downstairs should be on the bucket-list of every epicurean coming by Patong.

Boathouse:-The Boathouse Phuket is a tastefully appointed beachside boutique hotel with one of the most celebrated restaurants and wine cellars in Thailand. Located at Kata Beach, its five-star restaurant serves gourmet French and Asian cuisine in sumptuous settings with top-of-the-range service. Boathouse has been renovated and given a completely new look. Still retaining its nautical theme, the colour scheme of its award-winning restaurant is now predominantly white.

The Surface Bar & Restaurant:-The Surface Restaurant & Bar is a rooftop venue located at La Flora Resort right on Patong Beach. La Flora is one of the most popular hotels in Patong with a privileged location and an open-air restaurant overlooking the bay from the third floor, offers great yet affordable dining under the stars. It‘s best to go early to the Surface Restaurant & Bar as the place is a classy sundowner spot and even though a few trees obscure the views it’s still a wonderful place for sunset. A soft, unobtrusive musical backdrop of Top 40 hits and classics such as ‘The Sound of Silence’ – along with the waves breaking on the beach make the place seem miles away from buzzing Patong City.

SALA Phuket Restaurant & Beach Bar:-The resort's restaurant is tastefully fitted out and next to the lap pool. You can dine poolside, inside the open-sided restaurant or even on its roof. Tapas and cool cocktails are the order of the day at the beach bar where guests get together to chill out before dinner.

Diavolo Restaurant:-Way below, the sea sparkles and shimmers in the early evening light. The sun hovers above the horizon as shadows on the wooden deck terrace lengthen. A gentle breeze ruffles the napkins as we enjoy our vodka martinis in one of the most impressive dining locations on Phuket’s chiseled and beach-indented west coast. This is Paresa, a five-star resort located along Millionaires’ Mile – one of Phuket’s most renowned addresses. To be more specific we’re sitting in Diavolo, one of the resort’s restaurants. Diavolo is unusual in concept as it shares space with Talung Thai, the resort’s signature Thai restaurant.

Promthep Cape Restaurant:-Promthep Cape restaurant straddles the hillside and overlooks both Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches and in the distance lies beautiful Ao Sane Beach. With over thirty heavy-duty tables and seating for 200 and with very decent prices you’d expect it to do a roaring trade and be a crowded place but somehow it manages to stay a fairly peaceful spot. Cape Promthep, once the sun has set, is the exact opposite of how it is during the day. Gone are the hundreds of camera-toting tourists, the exhaust-belching buses, the touts and snack vendors and in their absence serenity reigns. The night breezes take over and under a canopy of twinkling stars you can enjoy decent seafood at Promthep Restaurant.
